CNBLUE members reveal their graduation pictures

OMG! They're REALLY and SUPER DUPER CUTEEE!

Ever wondered if the dashing boys of CNBLUE always enjoyed good looks? Well a recent broadcast ofMBC‘s “Section TV” revealed the members’ individual graduation photos, which proved that the boys were ladykillers even back in the day.
Capturing their unique personalities, the pictures varied from one other. One member looked as though he just woke up and took the picture, whereas another member smiled brightly for the camera. ForJung Yong Hwa’s picture, everyone agreed that he looks like a ‘son from a wealthy family’.
This broadcast also revealed pictures from their debut days. There wasn’t a big difference between now and back then, however, everyone noticed that the members all stared straight into the lens, as if they were going to drill a hole through the camera.

[News|Photos] CNBLUE Successfully Concluded BLUE STORM Hong Kong

CNBLUE kicked off their “Blue Storm” Asia Tour with their concert in Hong Kong. CNBLUEheld two concerts on January 7th and 8th at Hong Kong’s Asiaworld Arena. Nearly 8,000 fans who wanted to watch CNBLUE performing live filled up the arena.
CNBLUE began the concert with “Intuition.” Afterwards they sang  “Ready N Go,” “Love Girl,” and “Love Revolution.” During the ballad section of the concert, an orchestra appeared and CNBLUE performed “ Y, Why,” “Love Rides the Rain,” and “Because I Miss You.” They concluded the concert with the songs “I’m a Loner,” “LOVE,” and “Love Light.”
CNBLUE’s members stated, “We officially began our first Asia Tour concert in Hong Kong. We were so touched by the number of fans that filled up the arena. We were very nervous when we heard that tickets were sold out as soon as the ticketing opened. I think we were able to have a comfortable concert because the audience enjoyed the show together with us. We hope that we will be able to return soon to do another concert.”
CNBLUE will release their second Japanese single “Where You Are” in February.

HISTORY OF CNBLUE




CNBLUE (Korean: 씨엔블루), is a South Korean band “CN is an abbreviation of ‘Code Name’ while BLUE is an abbreviation of the members’ individual images,” said by one of the members. ‘Burning’ represents Lee Jong Hyun, ‘Lovely’ represents Kang Minhyuk, ‘Untouchable’ represents Lee Jung Shin, and ‘Emotional’ represents Jung Yong Hwa. Debuted on August 19, 2009 in Japan with the band’s first mini album, Now or Never. They were coined as the “2nd FT Island”. The group released four teasers for their 1st album Bluetory, starring one member per each of the videos in the sequence of Jonghyun, Minhyuk, Jungshin and lastly, Yonghwa on the 6th, 8th, 11th and 13 January respectively. On the January 14, CNBLUE debuted their first mini-album with lead single “I’m a Loner” (Korean: 외톨이야).
2009: DEBUT, NOW OR NEVER, AND VOICE
In mid-June 2009, CNBLUE began to perform on the streets and in live clubs in Japan. As an indie band, they formally debuted on August 19, 2009 with Now or Never. The mini album was recorded completely in English, and failed to chart on the Japanese national music chart. Later, in November, the second extended play was released entitled Voice. Voice peaked at position 227, and stayed on the Oricon for two weeks, and was recorded mostly in English but also in Japanese. Also that year former Bassist Kwon Kwang Jin left CNBLUE in late September after the release of CNBLUE’s first mini album. Kwang Jin was replaced by Lee Jungshin later that year.
2010: KOREAN DEBUT, THANK U, AND OTHER ACTIVITIES


In January, FNC Music unveiled new teaser pictures for CNBLUE’s debut in South Korea. Bluetory was released on January 14, 2010. It stayed at the top of the Gaon Chart for two weeks. “I’m a Loner” (Korean: 외톨이야) was promoted as the title track. The song peaked at number two, solidifying their break into the industry. The group had their first televised live stage on KBS Music Bank on January 15. Later, on January 29, the group won their first music show chart win on Music Bank.


The group debuted their new reality show on Korean music channel Mnet, titled “CN Bluetory,” on February 10. In March, the band started preparations for their first full length album ThankU. It was released on March 20, 2010, with only one new track. The album peaked at number 90 on the Oricon charts, their highest thus far. Later, in April, their official fanclub name was announced as BOICE, a combination of “blue” and “voice.”


CNBLUE headed back to Korea in May and released their next promotional single, “Love Light” (Korean: 사랑 빛), on May 10, 2010. The song peaked at number 10 on the Korean national chart and foreshadowed their upcoming release. On May 19, the second extended play was released, named Bluelove. It was promoted with the track “Love,” which charted at number 2, matching the success the band found earlier with “I’m a Loner.” Bluelove peaked at number 3, but stayed on the chart for many weeks. CNBLUE held their comeback stage on M!Countdown the following day.


After success in Korea, the band headed back to Japan. They released their first single “The Way” on June 23. For the first time, they charted within the Oricon top 40 at number 26. The release was followed by “I Don’t Know Why” on September 16 the same year. The song reached number eight on the Oricon daily chart, marking the first time the band made it inside the top 10. On the weekly chart, they peaked at number 15. On the Japanese indie top chart, the band reached number one. The band embarked on a small tour across Japan in order to promote the single.


CNBLUE members Kang Min Hyuk and Lee Jong Hyun will star in the Korean movie “Acoustic.” They released a song from the OST on October 7 entitled “High Fly” that peaked at number 98 on the Gaon Chart.
2011: RE-MAINTENANCE AND FIRST STEP


On January 9, they released their 3rd Japanese single, Re-maintenance. They started off their 2011 Japanese promotions with a Zepp Tour in 4 cities: Osaka, Fukuoka, Nagoya and Tokyo from January 9–16.


FNC Music, their entertainment agency in South Korea, released teasers for a CNBLUE comeback for February in 2011. However, it was later changed to a March 21 release date. The teaser was noted for having a “more of the same departure from their pop rock sound into a heavier concept.”

The four of them revealed that if they don’t have to work on New Year, they will choose to accompany their family.


With Vocal Jung Yong Hwa, second Vocal + Guitarist Lee Jong Hyun , Drummer Kang Min Hyuk and Bassist Lee Jung Shin, they formed Korean Handsome Band CNBLUE. This is their 3rd time in Hong Kong, yesterday and today they’re having a concert in Asia World Expo Hall no.10. Usually other boy group love to exercise and shows off their muscle, but since their main focus is always music they said they seldom go to gym, and YongHwa jokingly said “My body now is very fit!”


In 2010, they came to Hong Kong for the first time, and there were thousands of people who supported them when they had a show in HITEC .It has been more than a year and the two-day concerts with the total of 8000 tickets were sold. They are very surprise and happy, as they didn’t think that they would have such a respond from Hong Kong fans. They will give their best to repay the fans, and they hope in the future there is another opportunity to go to Hong Kong to perform again. They said fans in Asia are very passionate. For example, at the airport there was a fan who almost have an incident, and they were very worried, so they ask the fans to put their safety first.


Minhyuk Can’t Threaten YongHwa


CNBLUE is a double vocal band, but recently even MinHyuk and JungShin shows of their singing skill, each having solo and rap respectively. YongHwa confidently said “I’m not worried that my vocalist role will be snatched” . Minhyuk continues : “Even though we want to threaten him, we won’t be able to” . They emphasize that each member of the band have their own role, so they won’t snatch each other’s job.

When asked if they regularly go to gym, Yonghwa praise himself and saying that now his body is the best, Jungshin will usually go to gym, but his body is still very slim like a chopstick.Jonghyun revealed that he tried to get 6 pack muscle, but after one month 6 of them merge to 1, back to it’s original shape. Although Jungshin body is very slim, but he has a very beautiful long hair. He said usually he will do cellophane hair treatment.

However he didn’t want to admit that he is the one who care the most about his appearance as he revealed that Yonghwa is the one who care the most about his appearance, but Yonghwa dragged Jonghyun to the hole and said recently he is in this group too, he often buy new clothes.


Want to go to Hong Kong to film action movie


Last year, whenYonghwa and Minhyuk was filming Heartstrings, a lot of fans want all four of them to film a drama together, however, they said the chances are slim (for them to act together). Because they don’t want to make the audiences to put their focus on the four of them filming together and overlook the story line. When asked whether they want to film a movie, all four of them have big interest in it. Minhyuk said he want to try any type of character, Yonghwa said he want to act in a war movie, Jonghyun and Jungshin both want to try action movie. They praised Hong Kong action movie to be very good, and want to be invited to participate in one.Yonghwa also praised Tom Cruise in his new movie (Mission Impossible : Ghost Protocol) and said that the scene where he jumped from Dubai’s Burj-khalifa was amazing. This year, beside wanting to appear in the big screen, they are going to release their new Korean EP in March. Although the theme is still under discussion, but it will make fans very surprised.
